An analysis of the existing facility in relation
to current code and operating standards resulted in a recommendation
which served as a basis of the renovation project. The renovation included
guest rooms and public areas of the hotel in addition to a new fitness
center and parking garage. This project had presented challenging issues
relating to the change of occupancy, egress, remedies to existing rated
assemblies, coordination of existing and new MEP systems, and the implementation
of a coordinated interior design.
